How do I enroll my student?
You can begin the enrollment process by creating an account at My School DC, the common application for all D.C. public schools.
Are there admission requirements?
If your child is a District of Columbia resident and meets the DC age requirements, they are welcome to attend DC Scholars! There are no other admissions requirements.
Is there an age criterion for students?
For school year 2026-27, applicants for:
PK3 must be 3 years old by September 30, 2026;
PK4 must be 4 years old by September 30, 2026; and
Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 30, 2026.
If my child is offered a spot at DC Scholars, what documentation must I provide to secure that spot?
All students enrolled in public schools in Washington, D.C. must provide proof of D.C. residency. To provide proof of residency, you will need to complete a DC Residency Verification Form and present documents verifying your home address. If my scholar is a returning DC Scholars student, what documentation must I provide during the re-enrollment process?
To re-enroll you will need to complete your registration in PowerSchool by providing proof of DC residency, completing a residency verification form, and providing updated medical forms (oral and physical health certificates).
